Chris Brown

Chris and his best friend, Brooke, cofounded The Grandeur of Grace in an effort to fulfill a vision they had to provide a community of resources for veterans. Having experienced the transition back into civilian life himself, Chris’s hope is to alleviate as many barriers and hardships veterans face after having served in the armed forces.

Chris and Brooke tied the knot in March 2022 and together reside in Lawton, Oklahoma where they faithfully serve their church and community.

Though he’s no longer living in Texas, his Texan roots run deep having been born and raised in Texas. Not to mention, he’s a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan!

Chris is a mentor at heart and enjoys helping others find financial freedom and achieve their dreams. He’s an extrovert and enjoys spending time with others whether it’s golfing, bowling, playing cards, or simply sitting around a campfire shootin’ the breeze. He’s got a special love for music and telling “dad jokes.”

After working in retail and operations management for more than a decade, Chris walked away from a lucrative career to fulfill a calling on his life to serve in the United States Army. He served 7 years as a Human Intelligence Collector during which time he received numerous accolades and completed several advanced courses including Airborne School, Basic Leaders Course (BLC), Joint HUMINT and Analytical Targeting Course (JHATC), and Defense Strategic Debriefing Course (DSDC).

With more than a decade of business management experience and more than 5 years of military leadership, Chris brings both personal and professional experience to the organization as well as an array of vital skills including communication, operations, logistics, human resources, and organizational and team leadership.

Brooke Brown

Brooke was born and raised in Michigan but eventually settled down in Lawton, Oklahoma where she now resides with her husband, Chris, and two fur-babies, Titus and Zowey. She’s a mother to a beautiful teenage daughter who currently lives with her father in North Carolina.

Brooke is a disabled Army veteran having experienced some of the many hardships veterans often experience when transitioning out of the military and back into civilian life. She’s a devout Christian and a zealous advocate for various social issues including that of mental health and criminal justice reform.

Alongside Chris, she cofounded The Grandeur of Grace with a desire to help other veterans come to experience the same freedom she now experiences through the grandeur of God’s amazing grace.

She holds a Bachelor’s in Public Health from American Military University and will graduate from Liberty University this fall with a masters in Christian Ministry.

Brooke has over 5 years of leadership experience pioneering and advancing church-wide ministries as well as overseeing various ministry teams at a growing Christian church. She offers a vast knowledge of non-profit operations and management, pastoral care and leadership, project management, and organizational development.

Brooke is a gifted writer with a passion to teach and create. She enjoys traveling, board games, puzzles, cleaning, sunshine, and spending time with her husband and loved ones.

You’ll find Brooke sitting at the sinner’s table, compassionately and empathetically connecting to every outsider, destitute, and cast-away of the world.
