Brooke Brown

Vice President

Army Veteran
Co-founder of The Grandeur of Grace

Brooke was born and raised in Michigan but eventually settled down in Lawton, Oklahoma where she now resides with her husband, Chris, and daughter, Harley.

Brooke is a disabled Army veteran having experienced some of the many hardships veterans often experience when transitioning out of the military and back into civilian life. She’s a devout Christian and a zealous advocate for various social issues including that of mental health and criminal justice reform.

As one of our founding board members, Brooke serves as the Chief Marketing Officer overseeing marketing, fundraising, donor relations, and communications. With over 6 years of leadership experience pioneering and advancing church-wide ministries as well as overseeing various ministry teams at a growing Christian church she offers a vast knowledge of nonprofit operations and management, pastoral care and leadership, project management, and organizational development. She holds a Bachelor’s in Public Health from American Military University and a Masters in Christian Ministry from Liberty University.

Brooke is a gifted writer with a passion to teach and lead others. She enjoys dancing (though not very well), laughing, cleaning and organizing, sunshine, spending time with her family and friends, and going all-out to celebrate milestones with our GoG veterans as a family.

Her heart is to help other veterans come to experience the same freedom she now experiences through the grandeur of God’s amazing grace and it is through her relentless love and grace for humanity that she serves. You’ll find Brooke sitting at the sinner’s table, compassionately and empathetically connecting to every outsider, destitute, and cast-away of the world.

"After having spent years having to follow others’ directions, I had lost the skill of leading myself. Sparing a long story, I did not transition too well to civilian life after all and needed help. That was when my dear friend Chris and [Grandeur of Grace] entered the story. They were the friends I needed at the time to help me. Most importantly, someone to believe in me. I am forever grateful and have been able to further my goal of bettering myself and becoming fully independent."

A. Shurtleff, U.S. Army Veteran

"I would really like to thank you for the aid and relief you have provided me. You have given me a year and a half back to my life and I can't begin to put into words how appreciative I truly am. THANK YOU!"

C. Davis, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran

"Paying it forward to the people who listen to God and never once wavered on what the big man upstairs wants them to do. We can get lost in our emotional state and forget or lose focus on what the Lord is doing in our lives and the lives around us. To those people, I will never forget the blessings that [have] happen[ed] here. As I move through life, I pray that this only grows. Thanks to [GOG]."
